How do I rename files?
Drag your files (or a whole folder) into Renomi, add one or more actions on the left — like “Add the date” or “Add a number” — and check the preview on the right. When it looks right, click Rename.
Are my files safe?
Yes. Renomi only changes the name of a file, never its contents, and always keeps the file extension. Renaming happens in a safe two-step process, and if anything goes wrong it puts everything back. You can also undo the last rename with one click.
What if two files would get the same name?
Renomi handles it automatically by adding a number — for example photo, photo-2, photo-3. You'll see this in the preview before you rename anything.
Does it work with all file types?
Yes. Renomi works with any file — photos, PDFs, documents, videos, and so on. It renames the file and always preserves its extension.
Does Renomi need an internet connection?
No. Renomi works entirely offline. It makes no network connections and nothing ever leaves your Mac.
How do I change the language?
Click the globe icon in the toolbar and pick your language. Renomi is available in English, Italian, German, French, and Spanish.
I made a mistake — can I undo?
Yes. Click Undo last rename at the bottom of the window and the files go back to their previous names.
